William Pate | President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Pate joined Par Pacific as a member of the Board of Directors in 2014 and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Par Pacific in October 2015. Prior to joining Par Pacific as President and CEO, William Pate was the Co-President of Equity Group Investments, the Chicago-based private investment firm founded and led by Sam Zell, where he had been employed in various capacities since 1994. Mr. Pate has served as a director of Covanta Holding Corporation, a publicly held international owner/operator of energy-from-waste and power generation facilities, since 1999 and was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Covanta from October 2004 through September 2005. Mr. Pate has previously served on the boards of directors of Exterran Holdings, Inc., Adams Respiratory Therapeutics, MiddleBrook Pharmaceuticals and CNA Surety Corp., as well as those of several private companies associated with Equity Group Investments. Mr. Pate began his professional career at The First Boston Corporation as a financial analyst in the natural resources mergers and acquisitions group. Subsequently, he was employed as an associate at The Blackstone Group where he worked on private equity investments and merger advisory assignments. Mr. Pate holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Chicago Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard College.

Will Monteleone | Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Monteleone was appointed Par Pacific's Chief Financial Officer in March 2017. Mr. Monteleone has served the company in various roles most recently as Senior Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions from February 2015 to February 2017 and as Chief Executive Officer from June 2013 to January 2015. Mr. Monteleone has served as a Director of Par Pacific since August 2012 as well as on the Board of Managers of Laramie Energy, LLC, Par Pacific’s largest upstream asset. Prior to Par Pacific, Mr. Monteleone was Vice President at Equity Group Investments (EGI) from 2008 to 2013 where he was involved in a range of restructurings and investments primarily within the energy industry. Prior to EGI, Mr. Monteleone worked for Banc of America Securities LLC where he was involved in a variety of debt capital raising transactions, including leveraged buyouts, corporate-to-corporate acquisitions and other debt financing activities. Mr. Monteleone previously served on the Board of Directors of Wapiti Oil and Gas I, LLC, Wapiti Oil and Gas II, LLC, and Kuwait Energy Company. Mr. Monteleone graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a bachelor's degree.

Joseph Israel | President & Chief Executive Officer of Par Petroleum, LLC

Joseph Israel serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Par Petroleum, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Par Pacific Holdings focused on refining, marketing, and logistics. Previously Mr. Israel was President and Chief Executive Officer of Par Pacific from January until October 2015. Mr. Israel’s 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry includes a successful track record of structuring and leading refining, marketing and asphalt operations, as well as driving profitable corporate development initiatives. From August 2011 to November 2014, Mr. Israel served as Senior Vice President at Hunt Refining, a petroleum refining and marketing company, where he led business strategy, crude oil supply, marketing and planning. He joined Alon USA, a refiner and marketer of petroleum products, in 2000 and served in roles of increasing responsibility, including Chief Operating Officer, chairing the Risk Management Committee as well as VP of M&A and Business Development. He also served as a Director for a number of Alon subsidiaries. Mr. Israel holds his Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Mr. Israel also has completed executive business courses at the Center of Management Research, Harvard University, Cambridge, MA, and at The College of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Oxford, UK.

Matt Vaughn | Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Mr. Vaughn has served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Par Pacific since July 2014. Prior to joining Par Pacific, Mr. Vaughn, was a partner in the corporate practice group and bankruptcy section of Porter Hedges LLP for 14 years, where his practice focused on corporate reorganizations and restructurings, commodities marketing, transportation, hedging and derivatives, distressed corporate acquisitions, financings and refinancings and creditors'' rights. His practice also included general civil litigation in both federal and state courts.

Mr. Vaughn holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a juris doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. Mr. Vaughn is listed as one of America''s leading lawyers by Chambers USA, and The Best Lawyers in America. He is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and has also been recognized as one of the leading lawyers in Texas by Texas Super Lawyers and H Texas Magazine.

Jim Yates | President of Par Hawaii, Inc.

Mr. Yates serves as the President of Par Hawaii, Inc. Prior to this, he served as CEO and President of Mid Pac Petroleum, LLC from August 2007 until Par Pacific’s acquisition of Mid Pac. Mr. Yates also served as President and CEO for Hawaii Gas (formerly The Gas Company) from 2003 to 2007, including a period in which he oversaw operations for a related company, Kauai Electric. Earlier in his career, Mr. Yates spent 11 years at BHP Petroleum in oil and gas exploration and production in positions of increasing responsibility before transferring in 1993 to Honolulu as Vice President - Corporate Development for BHP Hawaii, the then parent company of HIE. He is a member of the Board of City Mill Co., Ltd., the YMCA of Honolulu, the Governors for Chaminade University and the Energy Institute, Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Yates also serves as a trustee on the David C. Ai Charitable Trust. Mr. Yates holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.

Jeff Shaffer | Vice President of Supply

Mr. Shaffer has more than 35 years of experience in the energy business. The bulk of his career, 28 years, was spent with Koch Industries where he was involved in all levels of light products marketing and trading including time in London and Singapore. After retiring from Koch, Mr. Shaffer worked at Merrill Lynch, Enterprise Products and Multifuels L.P. At Merrill Lynch, he was involved in helping the bank optimize and leverage its physical trading capabilities and at Enterprise, Mr. Shaffer was Vice President of the Refined Products supply and marketing business as well as all unregulated product assets. Mr. Shaffer graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors of Science degree.
