We are committed to prioritizing safety, developing our workforce, and respecting human rights. As community members, we invest significantly in major projects and local goods and services, create jobs, and generate revenues for local communities. We contribute to local communities, so that actions today might enable future generations to meet their needs.
Tie One on for Safety
In Hawaii, HELE stores reaffirmed their commitment to roadway safety by supporting Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Hawaii’s “Tie One On for Safety” campaign. By distributing red ribbons at our stores, we helped raise awareness about the importance of safe driving during the holiday season. As MADD’s longest-running public awareness initiative, this campaign aligns with our values of safety and community care. We are grateful for the opportunity to take part in such a long-standing safety movement. Whether in the Pacific Northwest or the islands of Hawaii, our retail teams are united by a shared purpose: to serve our communities with integrity, innovation and aloha.
We partner with the Special Olympics.
As a mission partner of Special Olympics Hawaii, we help the nonprofit organization to achieve its mission of providing year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. In addition to raising more than $100,000 in donations each year, Par employees and their families volunteer their time to participate in numerous Special Olympics Hawaii sporting and fundraising events.
Employee Engagement

At Par Pacific, we believe that taking care of each other, especially during life’s most difficult moments, is a reflection of who we are as a company. In that spirit, we established Par Pacific Charitable Giving, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to provide financial assistance to employees and their families facing unexpected hardships.
Community Engagement
We champion local communities.
Each year, Par Pacific contributes to local community needs. We bring energy and investment to our communities. We believe that our contributions should be community-led, and as such, regular support and engagement with community organizations is one way we promote sustainability.
Political Engagement
We support energy security.
Par Pacific engages with the executive branch, Congress and state officials to provide our perspectives on energy issues. We engage in the public policy process through indirect lobbying and by participating in select business and policy organizations that advocate positions that support fair and responsible energy policies as well as free markets. We believe that our presence is an effective way to help shape the positions to align with our values and experiences. Our political activities comply with Federal and State laws.
